Easy Lemon Feta Greek Yogurt Dip
This flavor-packed Easy Lemon Feta Greek Yogurt Dip is tangy, creamy, and takes just a few minutes—and a few ingredients—to make. It's also a great source of protein and calcium, so you can feel good about dipping away!
My Easy Lemon Feta Greek Yogurt Dip was inspired by a couple of foodie events I attended: a National Kale Day tasting and a Président cheese celebration at the French Cheese Board in New York City. At the kale event, I got to try these new Simply7 kale chips: they're sort of a hybrid kale/potato chip and they are yummy! They're also gluten-free, non-GMO, and a great source of Vitamin K. Simply7 sent me some samples and my favorite flavor was the Lemon Olive Oil, so I wanted to create a healthy recipe that would pair well with them.
As for Président, I love all their cheeses but their block of feta (not the crumbles) is one of my favorites—it's very creamy and bright. I knew it would make a great base for this lemony dip!
Ingredients
Place the garlic in the bowl of your food processor and pulse a couple of times, until the garlic is minced. Then add the feta, lemon zest, lemon juice, and Greek yogurt. Process until everything is fully combined and smooth. Taste. If it's too salty, add a bit more yogurt or lemon juice.
Spoon into a serving bowl and top with a pinch of red pepper flakes, lemon zest, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
This dip is packed with calcium and protein. Whether you enjoy it with the kale chips or some raw veggies—or spooned onto a hot, baked potato (YUM)—it's a nutritious and filling snack.
